Good performances often get forgotten over time. Please help me keep track of them, so I know who to invite to represent Thanet District next year. I can also keep you informed of other competitive opportunities in the meantime.
You can use the link below to log achievements by school-aged athletes in running, jumping or throwing events. (That may mean someone showing ability when trying a new event for the first time. Or a more experienced athlete beating their previous best time, height or distance.)

Many thanks to those parents who notified me of spelling errors and non-availability to compete.
Dates - The KSAA Track & Field Championship traditionally takes place on a Saturday in mid- to late June. It is usually four weeks after the Kent Championship (contested by club runners.) This year's date has now been confirmed as Saturday 10th June 2023
Venues - The event has usually taken place in recent years at the Julie Rose Stadium (Willesborough Rd, Kennington, Ashford TN24 9QX). As that track was being resurfaced during the spring and summer of 2022, the competition was switched to Medway Park (Mill Rd, Gillingham ME7 1HF). Medway Park will once again host the 2023 competition
How to Enter - Anyone interested in taking part should speak to their school PE teacher. Pupils are entered by their school's PE Department via the District Coordinator. An individual pupil may be entered for no more than two events. There are no relay races.
Age Groups - The age categories are Year 7, Juniors (Y8 and Y9) and Intermediates (Y10 and Y11). There are no events for Seniors (Y12 and Y13) apart from Steeplechases and Race Walks.
Selection - A school may enter as many pupils as they wish and there is no limit to the number of athletes a district may select in any particular event. However, all athletes are expected to be capable of attaining the English Schools' Athletic Association (ESAA)
Kit - Spikes may be worn but must be no longer than 6mm in length. Athletes are representing both their own school and their school district, so will usually wear a school sports top. A few districts have their own sponsored kit, which all their competitors wear. Club vests may also be worn, but crop tops are not permitted.
Events - There is a limited range of events for Year 7 athletes. (Currently, these are 100m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot and Javelin.) For older pupils, a full range of track and field disciplines is offered. Exceptions are multi-events (Pentathlon, Decathlon etc, which have their own separate championship competitions). There are no Relay events.
Kent Selection - The first- and second-placed finishers in each event (Juniors and Intermediates only) are usually selected to represent Kent Schools at an Inter-Counties competition. This year's is at Basingstoke on Saturday 17th June 2023, hosted by Hampshire Schools.
English Schools - A maximum of 70 athletes are selected to represent Kent at the English Schools' Championship. Selection is based on performances at the Kent Schools' Championship and Schools' Inter-Counties, as well as certain club events (currently the Kent Championship and South of England Championship.)
The 2023 English Schools' Championship is to be held at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, over the weekend of 30th July and 1st August. Those selected to represent Kent Schools will travel together as a squad on Friday 29th June.
